Marietta Winter Wonderland

Each year the City of Marietta hosts the Marietta Square Winter Wonderland event and tonight is the big kick-off.  There is so much to see and do during the holidays here and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Festivities begin in the late afternoon with musical performances by local school choirs. 

Of course, the star of the event is St Nick!  Since his reindeer are busy at the North Pole training for Christmas Eve, he gives them the night off and arrives in style each year by riding a City of Marietta fire truck. 

In addition, there is the Festival of Trees where local schools decorate a tree with hand-made ornaments centered around a theme that they choose. 

Whether you’re looking to meet up with Santa or just want to enjoy the magic of holiday season, the Marietta Winter Wonderland is the place to be.
