3 Favorite Places To Walk Our Dog

Looking for a way to get out of the house and get a little exercise? 

And maybe your dog wants to come with you? 

Well one of the things that I love about My Marietta is all of the different parks and recreation opportunities we have for ourselves and our dogs. 

So in today's My Marietta video show, I'm gonna share with you my three favorite places to take our dog for a walk. So come one and join me! 

The first stop on the dog friendly favorite places list is Kennesaw Mountain National Park. Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield is a common hotspot for all things outdoors. People come from all around to utilize the miles of walking trails, hiking trails, and various green spaces for everything from picnics, to Frisbees, and of course, pups are always included in all mountain adventures. So if you're looking for a fun place to take your dog, Kennesaw Mountain won't disappoint. 

So Cheatham Hill Memorial Park is another common hotspot, especially for West Cobb residents. Situated between Marietta and Hillgrove High School, the walking trails are always buzzing with locals, and their dogs. And this park features extensive walking trails, multiple green spaces, and even a small river. Hey Kirby, come here! 

If you're looking for a place where your dog can just be a dog? You need to bring him to Lewis Park here on Campbell Hill Street, just a few blocks from Marietta Square. Lewis Park features a one acre, fenced in, no-leash area for your dogs to play, get some water, and there's even shade for humans too. 

As an added bonus to all the best places to bring your dog, you can treat yourself and them on the way home. All Starbucks locations offer a Puppiccino. All you have to do is order at the window. This is a tasty treat that your dog is sure to enjoy until the very bottom of the cup.
