World Wheelchair Pool Champ Never Quits

When I first met Mark he had recently sold his Atlanta home and was living with his new bride in her Smyrna townhome.  The townhome was crowded for this blended family.  

Mark and his wife, Marva had very specific needs.  They wanted a fully handicap accessible home that was close to Marva's employer and also had room for Mark's championship pool table (Mark "the Snake" Jones is a World Wheelchair Pool Champion).  We were up for the challenge.  But we ran into a lot of obstables.  Marva was hoping to find a home near their existing townhome.  The problem was that most of the homes around the Smyrna area were built decades ago - before accessibility was even considered.

Thankfully, we found a 55+ Active Adult new construction development that offered a home that was perfect for the Jones.  So, after waiting six long months they finally were able to close and move into their new home.  Mark, always full of enthusiasm, joked that what he missed the most was a good hot shower (the only bathroom Mark could access in their townhome was the powder room).  I visited Mark shortly after he moved in and he said that he is taking six showers a day to make up for lost time.  In jest, I shared with Mark this National Association of Realtor video.  I guess we were the Realtors that "got Mark".
